Designed a scalable Creatives library centralizing video assets, improving discoverability, and accelerating campaign setup with strong governance.

## Context

There was no single place centralizing every video creative — files were scattered, with no reliable way to organize or retrieve them, which multiplied duplicates. The library only existed implicitly, surfaced at the moment of creating a campaign, never as a space of its own.

## Process

I benchmarked file storage products like Dropbox and Google Drive, which face similar organization challenges at scale. But one constraint set us apart: a video creative is always tied to an advertiser, and a single account can manage several. Storing creatives flat, drive-style, would have added noise at campaign creation — users would have had to navigate every advertiser's creatives at once, when only the ones from the advertiser they'd already selected are actually relevant to show.

## Solution

To handle large campaign volumes, the library supports multi-file upload of video creatives. Instead of a folder hierarchy, we chose a tagging system — simpler to navigate and faster to build. For the same reason, we dropped creative-usage tracking (which campaigns use a given file). We also deliberately kept a creative's status low-key: every upload goes through a technical and editorial check before it's usable, but in the vast majority of cases nothing goes wrong. A permanently visible status column would have mostly said 'Available' — visual noise more than useful information. Instead, a single 'Blocked' tag appears next to the file name, only when there's an actual issue.

## Results

A significant drop in duplicate creatives and better reuse of existing ones, fewer technical and editorial compliance errors, and faster campaign creation.
